CCYA Alum, Alan graduates from KSU with Bachelors Degree!

Four years ago, Alan transitioned from the CCYA Rise Up Academy residential program after graduating from Pebblebrook High School with honors. Alan was always a superstar at CCYA, winning Resident of the Year and many other accolades. During college, he continued to work at Waffle House and has worked part-time for several summers in our CCYA Cafeteria Kitchen. We are so very proud of Alan and how hard he has worked and persevered to earn his degree. Alan, only the Best is Yet to Come for you! Congratulations and remember how much your CCYA family loves you!

CCYA Alum, John graduates from KSU!

So excited to see John receive his diploma at the KSU graduation! From CCYA to ILP and then KSU, John has always kept himself moving forward and look at him now! Congratulations John! CCYA is so proud of you and this magnificent achievement!

CCYA Alum, Noah graduates from Old Dominion University

Congratulations Noah for earning your bachelor's degree at Old Dominion University! You have worked so hard and persevered to achieve this life-changing milestone. CCYA is so proud of you! 

CCYA Alum, Jamie successfully finishes freshman year at Morehouse College!

Last May in 2023, Jamie was residing at CCYA and graduated high school. He had a dream to attend Moorehouse College and he was accepted into their class of 2027. Jamie is the recipient of several scholarship awards and over the next three years, CCYA will continue to help gap fill Jamie's tuition needs. Coming from the Georgia foster care system, Jamie will greatly benefit from the network and support system that the "Morehouse Man" brotherhood offers. Likewise, Morehouse is lucky to have a student like Jamie. He is an outstanding young man who was a shining star and good friend to all when he lived at CCYA. Congratulations Jamie - The best is yet to come!

Twenty-eight year old Alum, Dakota gets married!

It's has been amazing catching up with Dakota who is thriving in the community! He has worked his way up into a professional position at a national company, and on October 21, 2023, he married his longtime sweetheart, Skylar. Congratulations Dakota! We are so proud of the amazing man you have become. Always remember you are a part of our CCYA family! We love you!

CCYA Alum, Shalisha, finishes freshman year at KSU! 

May 9, 2024

This past fall, Shalisha transitioned from CCYA into ILP and enrolled at KSU. He is a full-time student, employed part-time, and plays the drums at his church on Sunday. Since his days at CCYA, Shalisha has continued to be responsible and self-sufficient. We can't wait to see him walk across the KSU graduation stage in 2027! Keep doing what you are doing Shalisha - CCYA knows you are a superstar!

CCYA Alum, Rose is rocking independence!

In May of 2022, Rose graduated high school and transitioned into an Independent Living Program. This past spring, she completed her nursing assistant's coursework and will now sit for the certifying exam. While doing this, she is working in an early childhood school where she can be near her own one-year-old son. She is an outstanding young mother who is working hard to achieve for herself and her son.

Rose remains in contact with CCYA staff who continue to provide her emotional support. Keep up the hard work Rose, CCYA is so proud of you!

CCYA periodically has full or part-time Resident Advisor opportunities, and is currently seeking PRN's for 2nd & 3rd shifts, weekends and holidays (must be at least 25 years old). Candidates should email a cover letter and resume to hr@ccyakids.org
