Gap-Filling Essential Mental Health Services
for Foster Care Youth

While CCYA provides Animal Assisted Therapy and other traditional Medicaid Mental Health counseling services, there is still a gap in services needed to meet the behavioral health needs of CCYA youth.

In 2023, CCYA was awarded a three-year Cobb County ARPA grant to gap fill services that are not funded or available through Medicaid.

Partnering with grant approved community providers, these services include:

Anger Management (individual & group counseling)

Substance Abuse prevention and treatment services

Crisis Counseling

Trauma Grief Counseling

Sexual Trauma Counseling

EMDR Therapy

Placement Stabilization Services
