Bill Bechtel was a caring and supportive friend to CCYA. Over the years, he came to know many of the residents. For many years, Martha and Bill had the CCYA youth to their house to celebrate Easter - giving many CCYA youth their first egg dying and egg-hunt experiences. Bill was always willing to help our youth, often employing them for odd jobs around their house, or counseling them over a nice dinner. As an advocate for Cobb County support, a long-time sustaining donor, and generous annual PaJammin' event sponsor, Bill has made a lasting impact on CCYA - leaving a legacy of great compassion and care for foster care youth. CCYA will greatly miss Bill Bechtel who was a committed member of our Emeritus Trustee Board.
