Who We Serve

The Center for Children & Young Adults (CCYA) offers essential needs and youth growth amenities via emergency and temporary shelter schemes, transitional living, and self-sufficient housing courses for teens and young grown-ups (from 16-20 years old) who have caregivers determined unfit, incapable, refusing, and/or absent by a Family or Juvenile Court in Georgia. Incapable due to mental and physical disabilities, health conditions, and addiction/substance misuse. Unfit because of abuse and/or neglect. Refusing owing to desertion, custody denial. Absent because of imprisonment or death. Assuredly, with our guidance and sustenance, The Best is Yet to Come for CCYA youth!

What We Do

The Center operates four Residential Programs that offer a full array of Supportive Housing Services. Through a person-centered approach with trauma-informed care, CCYA provides emergency shelter and Transitional Living and Independent Living programs to youth and young adults who have entered the Georgia foster care system because they have become homeless or are in need of a caregiver.

CCYA periodically has full or part-time Resident Advisor opportunities, and is currently seeking PRN's for 2nd & 3rd shifts, weekends and holidays (must be at least 25 years old). Candidates should email a cover letter and resume to hr@ccyakids.org
