A Level Three Transitional Living Program
Practice Efficiency Apartment Model
Rise Up Studios is an 8-bed Transitional Living Practice Apartment Program serving young adults ages 17-20 who are preparing for greater independence and eventual placement in an Independent Living Program (ILP). Opened in October 2024 as an extension of CCYA's Rise Up Academy, the program bridges the gap between residential care and independent community living by providing a safe, supportive environment where residents can develop and demonstrate essential adult living skills.
The program features seven efficiency-style practice apartments, including six single-occupancy units and one double-occupancy unit. Each apartment includes a full-sized bed, sitting area with television, kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, and microwave, a multipurpose dining and workspace island, private bathroom, and closet. Residents also have access to shared amenities, including a full-service kitchen, laundry facilities, and a community media and recreation area.
Rise Up Studios is designed to provide increased independence while maintaining the structure, support, and accountability necessary for continued growth and success. Residents enjoy key-pad access to their own efficiency apartments and may host approved guests during designated visitation hours, helping them learn to manage responsibilities associated with independent living.
The program serves as a critical step in CCYA's continuum of care. Young adults seeking placement in CCYA's Connections Independent Living Program are expected to demonstrate readiness by successfully participating in the Rise Up Studios program for at least three to six months and mastering core independent living competencies.
