Who We Serve
The Center for Children & Young Adults (CCYA) provides basic needs and youth development services through emergency and temporary shelter programs, as well as transitional living and independent living housing programs for youth and young adults (ages 16-20) whose caregivers have been deemed by a Georgia Family or Juvenile Court to be unable, unfit, unwilling, and/or unavailable to care for them.
Unable (physical or mental disability, medical illness, addiction/substance abuse).
Unfit (abusive and/or neglectful).
Unwilling (abandonment, custody refusal)
Unavailable (incarceration, deceased)

What We Do
The Center operates four Residential Programs that offer a full array of Supportive Housing Services. Through a person-centered approach with trauma-informed care, CCYA provides emergency shelter and Transitional Living and Independent Living programs to youth and young adults who have entered the Georgia foster care system because they have become homeless or are in need of a caregiver.
